When Murray was a teenager, his grandfather John Wanders owned a landscape/nursery company, which sparked Murray's interest in landscaping. He decided to start his own lawn maintenance in the neighbourhood when he was fifteen. Murray strapped his hand tools to the handlebars of his bicycle, pulling his lawn mower alongside him. After the first summer, he was able to buy a truck. The second summer, Murray continued general lawn care and small construction jobs. When Murray finished high school, he went to Sheridan College and completed a degree in electronic engineering. But landscaping was more interesting than electronics, leading Murray to Humber College to complete a degree in landscape design. Thus, Raymar North was born. Raymar continued to grow over the next years to where we are today. We are proud to have deep roots, now having the third generation join in running the business.
